Six years ago I started running, wanting to exercise more and clear my mind. Ever since, I find running such a thrill. I began with short distances, until I found myself running my first marathon in 2012. I remember that first experience and it still gives me goosebumps; at km 38 I thought I could never do it and I did. At the finish line I was already thinking of the next marathon… After that, I have run several races of different lengths: running has become a daily practice.Next on my list is to run The 2014 NYC Marathon and help raise money for Harlem United.
Living in Argentina, you might ask how did I get to be part of the Harlem United Team? Well, this year I will be 40 years old and as my birthday gift my wife, with some help from a couple of friends living in NYC, found a genius and generous way of being part of this marathon: By joining HU team!! UH Raises Funds to…
• Ensure that people remains connected to treatment and obtains the best possible health outcomes.
• Provide quality illness prevention, housing, and care services in a safe and nurturing environment.
• Unite diverse communities and address the needs of all people living with and threatened by HIV/AIDS and other diseases.
• Empower people physically, emotionally, socially, and spiritually.
Then, if to run is good for me, to run with Harlem United is good for many!! A perfect motive!
I, humbly, ask you to please help us by donating to the cause, no amount is too little and everything counts!! Help me help this great mission, and together with Harlem United, help the World!
