Guatemala - Global Health Medical Care
Organized by: Stephanie Shealy
Over spring break, I will be spending 10 days in Guatemala with Thomas Jefferson University, providing free medical care, assistance and education to individuals who would not have access to such care otherwise. The aim of the trip will be to assist in the development of social programs to improve the health, education and welfare of the people we serve. While I've volunteered my medical services in and around Philadelphia, I've never participated in anything like this globally. Needless to say, I'm excited but a little nervous all at the same time. Also, being a student makes paying for such an experience pretty difficult. That's where you all come in. Please help in supporting me within my travels to Guatemala for an experience of a lifetime, providing care to others in need and learning almost, if not more, from the people I'll be helping on a daily basis while there. No donation is too small..every little amount counts. Thank you for your support!
