2002: I became enamoured with Disney World and declared that when I grew up, I’d take poor children who wouldn’t otherwise be able to there every year.
2007: I attended my first Supernatural convention, where I kept thinking how lucky I was that, even though we weren’t rich, we could be there, and I wished I could bring other people here who wouldn’t otherwise be able to come.
2009: Misha Collins starts The Random Act organization.
2014: I started the Guardian Angel of Belief, based on all of the above.
The name the Guardian Angel of Belief comes from my two loves—Supernatural and the Rise of the Guardians. I decided that I wanted to be a guardian, and that my center was belief, because I believe in goodness in the world.
My role model is Misha Collins, who plays an angel on Supernatural and started an organization called the Random Act. I realized how similar this was to my dreams of helping others and my goals of being a Guardian. I’m hoping it will be different in a couple of way:
1) you could apply for others or for yourself,
2) you could apply for a need or just a want, though priority would go to needs, and
3) you don’t have to be perfect or a sob story to apply.
Check out the progress at and Thanks for helping, and feel free to ask for help, too.
