Grace Rides is a 501(c)(3) organization in Defuniak Springs, FL that uses the gift of horses to invest in the lives of people of all different abilities by providing equine assisted activities and therapies. We have a therapeutic riding program, mental health program, and horses for heroes program.

Horses for Heroes is a 8 week program that introduces basic horse care and groundwork. Towards the end of the program, participants are given the chance to ride. Each participant is given one horse to work with throughout the 8 weeks. Many of our participants say that they love coming because it gives them something to look forward to every week. The horses at Grace Rides are the therapists. Winston Churchill said “there is something about the outside of a horse that is good for the inside of a man.” We couldn't have the Horses for Heroes program without our amazing horses!

Ways to Give

Give one Therapeutic Riding Lesson: $25

Feed all the horses for a day: $35

Feed one horse for a week: $50
