Dear Family and Friends,
On behalf of the Genevieve M. Hawley Memorial Foundation, I hope you and your loved ones are safe and healthy. As you know, we gather annually in June to remember and honor my mother, father, and brother Joseph’s dedication to the community and service to others. Given the explosion of COVID-19 and strict government orders, the Board and myself decided to cancel the luncheon planned for 2020. However, the Foundation will still honor local middle school and high school students for their community, vocational, and military service.
The scholarships the Foundation provides to such students highlight their dedication to volunteering and commitment to their communities. The scholarships support graduating middle school and high school students in their future careers. Although I am saddened we will not gather to present the awards, the decision to do so reflects our own commitment to the community.
I am very grateful for your continued support to the Foundation for nineteen years. Without our family and friends, our successes and support of local students would be short-lived. If you are interested in supporting the Foundation scholarship fund, please consider donating. In June, I will announce the winners of our scholarships online. Again, thank you for your endless support. Stay safe.
President of the Genevieve M. Hawley Memorial Foundation
