Giving Back to Ireland
Organized by: Shannon Miller
EVENT DATE Sep 29, 2016
Ireland is where Christianity was preserved in Europe through the Middle Ages, and many of us owe our spiritual heritage to the Irish. But today less than 2% of the population has a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. The Irish church is growing, but they have essentially started from scratch--most of its evangelical pastors are first-generation believers.
This fall I will be traveling with a group of women from New Mexico churches, to minister to the local church in Ireland. We will be partnered with missionary directors Gary and Wilma Davidson, and hosted by my friends Ron and Sharon Hassett. We have a chance to encourage one local congregation by performing a light construction project, and I don't yet know what else!
The personal cost of the trip is $2700, including airfare and nine days of lodging and meals. I have already sent in $200, and I'm asking you to get involved by praying for the team and helping me with the remaining $2500. Anything I raise in excess of that goal will go to my teammates or to AG Ireland. Absolutely any amount is welcome! This site only charges 3% for credit card processing. Thank you for reading and praying!
