Hour Detroit is back with its annual fundraising competition, the Give Detroit Challenge, where charities compete to raise the most money with the top teams winning cash prizes from our sponsors.

Everything launches on Monday, September 25th at 12:00pm ET and runs through Monday, November 6th at 1:59:59pm ET.

• The team that raises the most during the Challenge wins $10,000 for their charity.
• Second place receives $6,000
• Third place receives $4,000

There will be 3 Grand Prizes as well as weekly Bonus Challenges where participating charities can win cash for their cause. And, the best part of the Challenge is that even if you don't win any of the grand prize money, you get to keep the money you raise during the campaign.

Bonus Challenges are weekly contests with cash prizes that any charity can win no matter its size or ranking in the Challenge. They are such a great way to rally your supporters through the Challenge. And, they're really fun.

Bonus Challenge #1: September 25 - October 3

Every charity to raise at least $250 online this week will be entered to win $1,000.

Bonus Challenge #3: October 10 - October 17

For every team member who raises at least $100 online to their Challenge fundraiser, their benefitting charity will get 1 entry to win a $1,000 donation. So, if 2 team members raise $100, their benefitting charity will get 2 entries to win.

The 2 organizations that raise the most money online this week will play Rock, Paper, Scissors. The winning organization gets $1,000 and the organization that does not win gets $500.

*Active fundraisers means a team member has to have raised at least $10 to the fundraising page during BC timeframe.
