GIVE WOMEN A SECOND CHANCE AT LIFE
Greenhope is about healing families and communities – one woman at a time. We help women recover from substance abuse, prison, homelessness and despair.
Greenhope is a residential treatment and outpatient center housing up to 72 women and 28 children. To learn more about what we do, take a look at what some clients say about our program: https://goo.gl/fyCWKR
Our goal is to crowdfund $100,000 within 100 days from supporters like YOU! Make a one-time contribution or accept the Greenhope Challenge to give daily, weekly, monthly or yearly. However you decide to give, please support us financially.
Greenhope women are not strangers. They could be your friend, your sister, your cousin, your daughter, your wife or even your mother. They are in grocery stores, on the bus or subway or in the next cubicle. Your contribution helps Greenhope give them HOPE for a better life.
Since its inception in 1975, Greenhope Services for Women, Inc., has changed the lives of thousands women, but we need your financial support to continue our programs.
The Women We Serve
• 100% have histories of substance abuse
• 60% have no GED or high school diploma
• 60% report no work history
• 70 % have mental health histories
• 10% have HIV and/or HepC
• 71 % report a history of physical abuse
• 70% report a history of sexual abuse
In addition to therapeutic counseling, Greenhope offers educational and vocational training, HIV prevention, and parenting support for clients who are mothers.
Eighty percent of Greenhope clients are mothers with two or more children. After years of drug abuse and lengthy stays in prison, many no longer have access to their children. Through our advocacy efforts, family ties were established with 96% of the mothers in the program.
In 1990, we established Greenhope Housing to accommodate graduates of the program, who might otherwise be homeless. Rehabilitated women are not only stable women and nurturing mothers, they are also educated, productive, and influential voices in their communities.
Please give HOPE to Greenhope and contribute today. Ask your friends to do the same: share our campaign on social media, via email and word-of-mouth. The lives of our women and their families depend on you.
