Last week to donate for women's mental health!
August 04, 2017
It's time to break the barrier to women's mental health.
As women are 3Xs the risk for depression and 3Xs the risk for attempted suicide, Gia Allemand Foundation is on a mission to provide informed and compassionate no-cost support to anyone battling reproductive mood disorders regardless of geopgraphical location, socioeconomic status, religious affiliation, sexual orientation, or gender identification.
Gia Allemand Foundation believes in the fundamental right for women to receive accurate diagnosis, effective treatment, and social support for mental health and reproductive illness. Based on this belief, the mission of Gia Allemand Foundation is to:
- Reduce the stigma and raise awareness of women’s mental health issues including reproductive mood disorders, suicidality, and depression.
- Provide educational opportunities for women unable to obtain primary and mental health care services due to geographical location or financial means.
- Provide global crisis intervention and peer support services for women at no-cost regardless of race, religion, sexual orientation, gender identification, political affiliation, or socioeconomic status.
- Provide women with a path to recovery following a diagnosis of mental illness, reproductive mood disorder, suicidal ideation or attempted suicide.
Funds raised in this challenge directly support our Women's Peer Support & Crisis Intervention Program and enables further progress towards our goal of a "without borders" telehealth & telemental health platform.
