Ghana to US
Organized by: DeeDee Lazik
My sister Mary has been sending hundreds of dollars per month to Ghana for the boys' school as well as for medical, food, educational, and other necessities as they are orphans. She supports them. The biggest thing standing in her way to get them here to the US is money.
There is extreme poverty in the village they live in and people die (indluding children) on a regular basis from health issues or hunger. My sister and her fiance', who will also be caring for them when they get here, have traveled to Ghana to meet them in person (see picture).
One of the boys has malaria and my sister just paid for the operation to have his spleen removed. She will need funds for their Visas, their air fare, then clothing and medical issues that need to be taken care of when they arrive. Because they have nothing of their own other than what she has sent, she will need to buy them clothing and other items to establish their lives here with her and her fiance'.
