This family-friendly event aims to educate the community in order to prevent future violence. The money raised will benefit Domestic Violence Services of Southwestern PA (DVSSP). One of the areas of focus with the $20,000 we hope to raise this year is for prevention programs. As a domestic violence organization serving Washington, Greene, and Fayette counties, DVSSP provided 119 programs to 3,466 adults, 41 trainings to community organizations, and 554 programs to 17,828 children in the 2017 calendar year. DVSSP also successfully implemented two new primary prevention programs. Coaching Boys into Men was implemented with 590 high school aged athletes and Connected & Respected reached 8,395 elementary aged children.
DVSSP’s vision is to be part of a community in which violence is eradicated FOR everyone, BY everyone and !
