Our mission is to provide the tools for a therapeutic and fun experience to children with physical and developmental needs. In creating "Morgan's Place", we have initiated a unique therapeutic play option, allowing them the opportunity to learn and play in a facility that has been created specifically to meet the needs of these children with physical disabilities and/or various sensory processing disorders (Autism, etc.) and that will enable those with limited physical abilities and behavioral issues to enjoy healthy activities regardless of their limitations.
Our state-of-the-art wireless indoor Sensorium and new outdoor Garden Sensorium are alternatives to inaccessible playgrounds or play places, and both offer a multitude of wirelessly activated sights, sounds, smells, movement and touch equipment specifically designed for children of all abilities to utilize, in a sensory-controlled environment. For a brief moment in time, these children that have no control whatsoever in their lives can choose what they want to do - choose the colors, the sounds, the vibrations, the smells and the activities that they desire - that we all take for granted! We are almost there!
Please help us meet our goal of completing our outdoor Garden Sensorium - specifically we still need a sunshade to protect these children from the heat of the sun, and install artificial turf to allow wheelchairs equal access as well as to provide a consistently bug and weed free environment that does not require watering, fertilizers or insecticides that could be harmful to these children. Here in Florida these 2 needs are extremely important to ensure a safe and fun environment for all. No donation is too small - combined it will make a big difference!! Also, all donors that contribute over $100 will receive an engraved commemorative brick on our pavered pathway that winds through the Garden Sensorium!
