FurEver Fosters was founded in 2013 to assist animal shelters with dogs of all ages in getting them out of the shelter environment and into foster homes where they can be trained and loved while searching for their furever homes. Since then we have moved our concentration on only senior and special needs animals (cats and dogs) and we work hard in providng them a safe, loving environment in their end stage of life. Senior animals have almost NO chance of adoption in a shelter and many rescues will even overlook the elderly and special needs animals. FurEver Fosters does not. We concentrate on the animals that are most often overlooked and the first to die in overcrowded shelters. We take animals 8 years and older from shelters and on special occasions we will also take owner surrenders. While most of the animals we take in are hospice intakes that are too frail, old or sick for adoption we do like to place the younger seniors into homes with Senior Citizens who are searching for companionship in a pet. It is our mission to make sure that every animal who comes into our rescue is provided with a warm, compassionate and loving home until it is their time to cross over the Rainbow Bridge.
FurEver Fosters depends on contributions from the public to help our mission. Almost all of our expense is veterinary care. Many animals who come to us have serious health issues, rotten teeth, tumors, cancer and many other ailments. While we love accepting donations of food and bedding, our biggest need is monetary donations. Even the smallest donation helps us to save a senior animal from dying alone and unloved.
We are a 501(c)(3) IRS charitable corporation and contributions are tax-deductible.
