Fund to Support Alex Through His Struggle with Cancer

In March 2014, Alex Wakelin, a healthy, rock climbing, 34 year old, discovered that he had stage 3B Hodgkins Lymphoma. For the last 18 months Alex has undergone endless grueling chemotherapy treatments, maintaining a remarkable hopeful and positive attitude throughout. This Summer Alex received an intense stem cell transplant that should have cured him, except it didn't. Alex's prognosis isn't good. His chances of living even two years more are slim. Yet, even after receiving this news, and in pain from the tumors in his body, Alex is out of personal time/sick leave and continues to work so he can pay his medical and other bills. He doesn't complain or lament his reality. He just does what he has to do to survive: chemo to prolong his life, and work to barely pay his bills. What life has thrown Alex could happen to any of us, anyone that you love. No one should have to be dying and stressed about paying their bills. Please consider donating and help support Alex in this way. Your donations will help pay medical bills and help supplement Alex's loss of income while he continues to undergo treatment to extend his life. Thank you.
