Bonobos are in urgent need of a helping hand. Could it be yours?
The Kokolopori Bonobo Reserve is a safe haven to more than 10% of the known bonobo population. Since 2002, the local community has been taking the lead in conservation efforts, protecting the vital Congo rainforest habitat and all who dwell within it. Each and every day, our field teams trek through the forest, tracking bonobos and thwarting poachers. They are true conservation heroes. And today they need you.
We’re going to get real here. We rely on grants and individual donations to keep our field teams and community partners equipped with the resources they need. Sometimes there are gaps and right now, we need to raise $15,000 to continue our work in Kokolopori without interruption.
This goal is absolutely achievable—with your help! We’re reaching out to you, our dedicated supporters, to chip in $5, $10, or any multiple of 5 to help us bridge the gap. Got 5 minutes? Share this campaign with 5 people. Can the bonobos count on you to pitch in?
In 5 days, a bush plane will be heading toward Kokolopori. It would be amazing if we can send the necessary funds on that plane. You can make it happen! Your donation will directly support on the ground efforts in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Every poacher’s snare removed, every bonobo identified, every pair of boots on our trackers’ feet—they all start with you.
Thank you for your support—and for spreading the word! Let’s do it for the bonobos.
