Help us save a precious piece of American history before it's gone forever!
In Fishkill, NY, there is a graveyard where Revolutionary War soldiers lie at rest. The problem is this: the property owner wants to build an Ihop and other retail businesses on the site before professionals can study and preserve what remains of ruins and the soldiers of the historic Fishkill Supply Depot (FSD).
During the war, the Fishkill, Supply Depot was central to the founding of the United States of America. During the Revolutionary War, the depot was a major logistical center and contained a compact city of barracks (for thousands of soldiers), officers’ quarters, a prison, major hospital, armory, powder magazine, parade grounds, blacksmiths, tent shops, bake shops and other essential military facilities on 70 plus acres.
We, the Friends of the Fishkill Supply Depot, have been fighting to save the depot for over a decade through generous donations from people just like you but our war chest of funds is running extremely low. Please donate what you can and keep in mind that every dollar of your donation will be used to help preserve our hsitory. In addition, donations of $25 or more have the option of being posted on our website.
Thank you and may God bless you and your loved ones!
