There are currently 70 children from underprivileged neighborhoods studying in Bangalore, India. Their education is free but the lack of infrastructure, school supplies and quality learning environments means that many of them cannot actually benefit from this free education. That’s when effectchange. steps in. effectchange. is a non-profit organization headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland. Our main goal is to serve as an umbrella organization to fund projects by local non-profit organizations in third world countries. We also work on in-house projects focused on education, the environment and sustainability by using the resources available to us to our best ability. We aim to support local NGO’s and maximize their impact in the communities they work in, helping lead these communities to autonomy. As an umbrella NGO, our goal is to contact and connect local stakeholders to help them acquire entrepreneurial skills that will in the long run benefit their communities. With in-house projects, our aim is to identify the areas of dire need in various third world countries and implement projects that will make a change. In 2016, we will be focused on two main projects, starting in South India and ending in East Africa. Educating under-privileged children, developing sustainable agriculture and reintegrating traditional approaches to health will be some of the key actions. In South India, education is a priority. The 70 underprivileged children currently studying in Bangalore, India will be our starting point. Even though free education is available, the infrastructures provided, school supplies and quality learning environments are lacking. effectchange.’s plan of action is to provide adequate study spaces (rented then built), provide one warm meal a day for each child, bring in the necessary school supplies and most importantly to allow a continuous education for these kids, at least up until fourth grade. In order to make these intentions a reality, effectchange. needs funding to pay for the local supplies, for the staff that will be working on projects, for the food and also the at first rented then built school(s). The funds received will solely go towards helping these kids in Bangalore with the ambition of slowly expanding and reaching more and more under-privileged kids throughout 2016. Helping these kids is only the beginning for effectchange. We have a global ambition to hopefully improve the lives of many. Our other project will focus on East Africa, in Kenya, where we will be supporting the project of the association IMAWA. effectchange. is a young, innovative non-profit organization with the mission of improving the lives of those in need. By supporting and creating projects that will have a strong local impact, our mission is to improve the lives of people in various third world communities.
