Ainsley's Angels is thrilled be able to help enable more smiles and opportunities to roll with the wind! As the father of a very special girl that has races with me nearly 100 times, I know the positive energy surrounding the start line, the togetherness of every member preparing to "roll with the wind", and the love we all have for each other is a therapy like no other.
Enjoy this special note: Madison, or "Maddie" as we lovingly refer to her, is a 15 year old fun loving teen who was born with Emanuel Syndrome which has come with an extensive list of challenges and health related issues. Maddie is a fighter and exceeded expectations including the prediction that she would never have the ability to sit up.
Maddie is non-verbal and recently lost her hearing making it a challenge to find interests suitable for her. Everyday walks with family provides Maddie happiness however her strength is her social personality and she loves meeting new people and participating in any type of fundraisers, charity events, walks and runs.
Madison's Sweet 16 is upcoming on January 6, 2016! This is an event we are so grateful for, in that our hero is here with us to celebrate her 16th Birthday, providing so much joy to those around her and fighting so hard to work around her challenges. To our family and friends, please consider a donation in lieu of Christmas and Birthday gifts to provide Maddie the freedom to continue to participate in one of her favorite activities, with a stroller she can fit into! Thank you.
