We are a committee of dog park patrons who volunteer their time to maintain and enhance the grounds and amenities of Freedom Barks Dog Park. Our responsibilities are centered around maintenance of the park grounds, for example picking up litter, trimming along walking trails, filling in holes, painting agility equipment, signs, and bridges. We also facilitate the weekly servicing of the park’s dog waste receptacles which is vital to providing a clean environment; and is made possible in large part due to the generosity of our field sponsors: Village Veterinary Hospital, Champs Dog House, and Scafidi, Cranston & Associates.
In 2019, Freedom Barks, Inc. held “Dine and Donate” events at P.J. Whelihan’s and Ott’s, to raise funds for our “PUP Day” park clean-up supplies and operating expenses. In 2020, due to ongoing concerns surrounding COVID-19, we have been unable to hold in-person fundraising events.
Therefore, on August 30th, Freedom Barks, Inc. launched an online campaign to raise funds for 3 new park benches and supplies to build a shade cover. Thank you to the support from our incredible donors, we quickly exceeded our goal and raised a total of $2,927!
Since Freedom Barks, Inc. does not currently have any other active fundraising campaigns- all additional donations made from this point forward will go toward Freedom Barks, Inc.'s continual duties to maintain the grounds and amenities at Freedom Barks Dog Parks.
If you are looking for an alternative way to support Freedom Barks, Inc., please consider joining our volunteer committee, buying our merchandise, or creating your own fundraising campaign on our behalf!
