Ainsley's Angels of America is super excited to be spreading awareness and smiles through activism and education!
Please take a moment to read Becca's story!
Rebecca has been defying odds her whole life. She was born 17 weeks prematurely and has been on the go ever since. We were told all those years ago that she would never survive and that we needed to be prepared. Rebecca proved to everyone that she was a fighter and has never put down that torch. She seeks out adventure at every turn and is only truly happy when she is out interacting with people. We recently found Ainsley’s Angels and their amazing group of volunteer runners.
Rebecca raced her first 5k run in March and is excited to get a chair of her own in order to train for future races. She enjoyed the fast paced speed of the race and high energy of the people all around her. Rebecca lives with cerebral palsy, hydrocephalus (shunted), seizures and cortical vision impairment. Rebecca does face daily challenges with her disabilities; however she never allows them to stop her. She has not ever walked independently and has had many hip and spine surgeries. She gave up the dream of walking with grace and turned her energy to more appropriate goals.
Rebecca challenges everyone in her life to live for the day and without limits. She loves life and with every opportunity that presents itself Rebecca is the first to jump in with both feet. Helping her to obtain her own racing chair will allow her to up her game and who knows you might just get the chance to be inspired by this amazing young lady.
Please help us make this dream come true!
