Our Mission is to inspire compassion and responsibility for animals, in addition to rescuing, rehabilitating and finding homes for companion animals. This is just one of the 1300 stories of our dogs :
Princess (the first dog in the pictures) was not in a good way when she came to us nearly a year ago. She had been picked up as a stray and found herself in a high kill pound. She had long matted hair and was full of fleas. She was anxious and needy and hated being alone and was not at all potty trained. She was a challenge for her foster families and any potential adopter would lose interest when learning of her difficulties. Eventually Princess went to stay with our home boarder who did an amazing job of helping Princess overcome her anxieties and she blossomed into a happy little girl who was ready for her forever home. One thing that has never changed is that Princess loves to be held and to cuddle with her human companion. She has always been so incredibly affectionate. So along came a lady who was looking for that very thing! She particularly wanted a little companion who would love to be held and who would love to snuggle up with her on the sofa while watching TV and reading books. They met and it is a match made in heaven. Things are going incredibly well. Princess and her Mom have such a strong bond already and her Mom just adores her. Princess also loves her two brothers and plays with them in between cuddling with Mom. This home was worth the long wait!
