Ready to get fit and join the fight against trafficking? Human trafficking is modern-day slavery. Victims of human trafficking are subjected to force, fraud, or coercion for the purpose of commercial sex, debt bondage, or forced labor. The United States of America is truly the home of the brave, but we are not the land of the free. Slavery was abolished in our great nation over 150 years ago, but slavery is still alive and well in the form of human trafficking. Over 20 MILLION people worldwide have been denied their freedom at the hands of human traffickers. This is an outrageous abuse of human rights and must not be tolerated.  Human trafficking is a multi-billion dollary industry and the victims encompass human beings from all walks of life - men, women, adults, children, U.S. citizens and foreign nationals. 

You are an everyday hero and you will make a difference.  You woke up this morning to a day filled with promise and possibilities informed by your personal freedoms. Trafficking victims are denied the freedoms which you take for granted.

We will spend two weeks in September improving our personal fitness while we join the fight against trafficking. You choose your fitness path - runners, walkers, bikers, crossfit, spinners...all are encouraged to participate. Post your weekly fitness goals to our Facebook event page, show us some sweaty selfies, and help me achieve my goal which is to raise $500 for Truckers Against Trafficking (TAT). As many of you know, I have been interning with TAT this summer. TAT is an amazing non-profit organization that exists to educate, equip, empower and mobilize members of the trucking and travel plaza industry to combat domestic sex trafficking (http://www.truckersagainsttrafficking.org/)

Suggested donation for your entry fee is $20. 

Pay your own entry fee or ask friends and family to sponsor you as you achieve your fitness goals. I urge you all to get off that couch and take a stand against trafficking. Let your voices resonate with the beautiful ring of freedom and justice for all!
