BENEFITING: Charitable Pharmacy of Central Ohio
Diabetes is a chronic disease that continues to increase in prevalence in Ohio and can lead to serious health-related complications. It is a leading cause of cardiovascular disease, blindness, kidney failure and non-traumatic lower extremity amputations among adults. Diabetes affects 17.3% of the low-income population within Franklin County and the senior population makes up one-fifth of those with diabetes.
Monetary donations to the Fighting Diabetes in Franklin County campaign will be used to purchase glucose meters, testing strips, lancets, and insulin that will be provided to the patients of the Charitable Pharmacy at no cost to them.
A one-time donation of $30 will provide one patient with the supplies they need to effectively monitor and control their diabetes for one month. Your participation will help the Charitable Pharmacy provide one vial of insulin, one box of lancets, one box of test strips, and a glucose meter to our neighbors in need.
A one-time donation of $20 will provide one patient with one vial of insulin, one box of lancets, and one box of test strips.
A one-time donation of $10 dollars will provide one patient with one meter, or a box of lancets and test strips, or one vial of insulin.
Please give what you are able and spread the word.
