FELIDAE's MISSION is to preserve biological diversity across landscapes by conducting research on, raising awareness for and inspiring local stewardship of native wild cat species - agents of ecosystem health. We do this by:
• Collecting and disseminating data with citizen scientists on wild cat populations to better understand
o Movement patterns
o Population demographics and health
o Localized behaviors
• Proactively mapping human development activity relative to open space availability and in combination with felid population data to inform development projects, corridor design, and the mitigation of human/wildlife conflicts
• Educating local people on the importance of wildlife, and specifically obligate carnivores, to the long-term health, locally and globally, of all life on the planet.
