Unfortunately, we had to cancel the Farm Walk due to thunderstorms in the area today. But we are still working towards our goal of $45,000 and welcome gifts that continue to come in, even after our event date of April 23. Your support will help us continue the important work of connecting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to their community through the work of a sustainable farm. Thank you for your continued support of Peacehaven Community Farm.
Please plan to join us for Peacehaven’s 2017 Farm Walk, a fundraising and a “friend” raising event at the farm. We invite walkers of all ages and abilities to experience a beautiful afternoon at the farm, strolling through our rolling pastures, lush woodlands and organic gardens. You might even see a few cows, a few chickens or a scarecrow!
Grab a few friends to join you as we get some fresh air and exercise while exploring our 89 acres that include Susan’s View - our first residence, a permanent home for adults with special needs, and our barn that includes a 17KW photovoltaic system and provides electricity for Susan’s View.
The course is 1-2 miles long - you choose how long you want to stroll! Walkers, wheelchairs and strollers are welcome! The trail includes a gravel path -- jogger/off-road strollers/tires are suggested. (We love it when service dogs visit, but otherwise please leave pets at home.) Please join us to celebrate the peace and wonder of the land and our community where the values of service, sharing and recognition of every individual’s gifts offer a model for our world.
This event will occur rain or shine. We reserve the right to cancel in extreme circumstances. In that event, there will be no refund and your registration fee will be used as a donation to Peacehaven Community Farm. Click on the REGISTER button on the upper right to get started!
