Family Mission Trip to Tennessee
Organized by: Tiffany Rivera
Our family is really big on doing multiple volunteer programs in our own community and decided we would like to spread the love to others in need. Jellico, Tennessee is a community not unlike many other American communities that need a helping hand. Employment rates are low in this community with many having to get government assistance. On a World Servants mission trip we would help doing construction projects in conjunction with the community to help them get back on their feet. Projects can include roof repair or replacement, building ramps for the elderly and the handicapped, or simple outdoor painting. Not only that we would be able to encourage positive youth programs during our week there. This will be our families first mission trip and we hope to do more in the future. We encourage our family to help our neighbors through volunteer work in our own community. We now want to show them that this doesn't just mean that your neighbor is the people that live next to you but all people are your neighbor. We want to foster in them and in ourselves that this world will only get better with hardworking people investing in one another.
