Family Living Center (FLC) was incorporated in 1979 by Mabel Higgs when it was discovered there were no places available to house individuals with disabilities. Our non-profit organization has been assisting adult individuals with developmental disabilities in Oakland County since that time.
FLC presently operates 7 group home facilities and serve 32 residents. Our staff includes 35 qualified Direct Care Workers and Home Managers, many of whom have been employed at FLC over 25 years.
Please join us in raising funds to send our residents to Camp Fowler this summer. The Fowler Center is situated on over 200 acres in Mayville, MI. The Center is licensed as an Adult Foster Care Camp by the Michigan Department of Human Services. Emphasis is placed on the ability of each camper to participate in camping experiences according to his or her physical, cognitive and psychological abilities.
