Exponents provides an array of programs helping individuals with drug problems, HIV/AIDS and reentry to the community after incarceration. Programs are offered in a respectful, non-judgmental environment and are different from the vast majority of drug treatment programs. Most people come to Exponents voluntarily and 75% complete their treatment. Exponents main program is called ARRIVE, from which more than 10,500 have graduated. Most of Exponents’ staff have the same lived experience of those being helped setting examples of positive change and a message of hope to those coming through our doors. Exponents services range from working with active drug users, high school equivalency classes and professional trainings helping people to re-enter the workforce.
Exponents has been involved in numerous advocacy issues and providing leadership in HIV/AIDS prevention through availability of sterile syringes; reducing the prison population through the repeal of draconian drug laws; medical marijuana for those with debilitating chronic disease and non-punitive treatment for individuals with drug problems.
Exponents has its headquarters in New York City and has provided technical assistance to organizations throughout the world. Exponents welcomes donations to support its life saving work.
