Evergreen is a Community Benefit Organization offering opportunities, programs and services for adults, age 50+, to live fully while they age in place. It was the generosity of the people of Prince Corporation and the visionary team of senior advocate Marjorie Hoeksema, philanthropist Edgar Prince and his daughter Emilie, which led to Evergreen opening its doors in 1985.

WE FOCUS OUR EFFORTS IN TWO AREAS:

Healthy, active adults 50+ • Adults needing care and assistance

At The Commons of Evergreen Community Center for Active Living we offer opportunities for education & exercise, service & socialization. Our 65,000 square feet building includes a woodshop, therapy pool & hot tub, Pickleball courts, and dining room. In 2014 we received the Pinnacle Award from NuStep in recognition of our outstanding commitment to transforming the lives of older adults through whole-person wellness.

Assisting older adults as they age in place, Care Services of Evergreen offers a variety of services. Our In-Home Services team offers services to adults in their home along with a Home Delivered meal program. The Day Center of Evergreen offers a safe and engaging environment for adults in need of care and assistance during the day.

Evergreen is a 501(c) 3 organization. We rely on funding support from individuals, corporations and foundations to cover the difference between monies we receive from dues, fees & grants versus the full cost of services we provide.
