‘Tis the Season to Give …

The Entrepreneur Educational Center, Inc., (EECI)501(c)(3) , cordially invites you to partner with us during this Holiday Season by making a tax-deductible donation in support of Miracle’s Youth & Adult Entrepreneur Program’s (MYAEP) “Gift Yourself a New Career” Campaign. The Campaign is aimed at providing a “Gift that Keeps on Giving” to potential business leader’s growing up in minority communities devoid of educational options afforded in more affluent neighborhoods.

What better “Gift” can they receive than the opportunity to get a FREE Training and Mentorship start along the road to entrepreneurial enlightenment, community economic development, self-sufficiency and success?!

........................................a Gift that Keeps on Giving

A much needed donation offers empowerment for budding entrepreneurs residing in the underserved communities of Watts, Willowbrook, Compton, Carson and South Central Los Angeles who are or will be participating in EECI’s programs. With the tools provided by EECI these “Miracle’s Dreamers” will have a base to build a lasting source of economy for themselves, family, and community. They will follow in the footsteps of EECI’s certified MYAEP classes of 2018 and 2019 now starting or expanding over 20 small businesses and/or non-profit organizations in their communities.

Your donation will go a long way toward helping us achieve our $10,000 CAMPAIGN GOAL and assist in underwriting classroom instruction for up to 30 students and 2 free open to the public seminars.  The classes are currently held in the Ted Watkins Park Computer Learning Center, equipped with 20 state of the art Workstations,as part of the Los Angeles County “Parks After Dark” initiative.

Students learn the building blocks of entrepreneurial success. At the end of the program they leave with a preliminary business plan that includes entry strategies, management team building, marketing and finance as their deliverables. Your support will enable MYAEP class expansion to the City of Carson Community Center in the New Year!

…Who We Are

This EECI program is named in honor of 15 year old Watts native “Miracle Treasure McGowan”, a student at Ánimo College Prep Academy charter school on the David Jordan High school campus. She tragically lost her life in January 2018 to a random gunman while sitting in the family car with her mother who was wounded.

Miracle loved her community, was a tireless volunteer at Ted Watkins Park.  She had her heart set on attending college and using her skills to give-back and improve the neighborhood she grew up in. Miracle planned to work at the park while she went to college. Everyone loved Miracle, and her family feels that this program will represent the goodness and upward mobility they saw for her future. Miracle’s aspirations represent the motivation behind EECI’S Mission.

Founded in Los Angeles as a 501(c)(3) corporation in 1989 by Dr. Richard H. Buskirk, the late world-renowned educator and Director of the USC Entrepreneur Program; Barbara J. Stanton, his Assistant and former USC Program Specialist, and Bernadette G. Robert, a Vice President at Mount St. Mary’s College, EECI is committed to assist and educate multi-cultural entrepreneurs, youth-at-risk, “handicapable” entrepreneurs, and people re-entering society.

EECI has developed and implemented programs for the City and County of Los Angeles, the State of California, the U.S. Department of Commerce, the Veterans Administration and numerous private corporations, foundations and philanthropies. Through seminars and training programs thousands of entrepreneurs have learned how to develop their business, where to look for and secure funding, and the value of developing small businesses that generate jobs for residents of their communities.

As the future of our economy becomes increasingly unpredictable it is vital that we continue to provide a path for youths and adults - who don’t have the benefit of business courses in the high schools they attend - to take advantage of the number one employer in the nation, small business. Your partnership enables EECI to provide that critical need. We are grateful for that. and look forward to greeting you as a donor during this “Miracle’s” Holiday Campaign.”  Together we’re “Building a Better Community…One Small Business at a Time."
