April 22, 2016
Welcome, and thanks for reading my page!
I am committed to making 2016 a year of adventure, connectedness, and healing. To that end, I am participating in my very first half-marathon, which will take me to and through Kenya with an amazing group of people.
Endurance Inc.'s Run Like a Kenyan...in Kenya program takes travelers on a guided trip to Kenya to run in a Half-Marathon or Marathon. We run in support of Tusk Trust - a nonprofit organization that protects wildlife, supports communities and promotes education. Visit www.tusk.org for more info.
This run is my gift to myself for taking a leap of faith on graduate school. This May, I will graduate with a MA in Social-Organizational Psychology. After more than 10 years of working in social services and public health, I will now try my hat in Organization Transformation and Talent consulting. But before I breathe life into this new chapter, it is important for me to connect with my roots (on many levels), and set guiding intentions. And running through a natural wonder seems like the appropriate avenue to get that work done!
It is my hope that you will showcase your support with a donation. Think of it as your graduation gift! You may know of my love for a certain safari aminal...:-) So I am happy that my run will not only support my physical well being, but contribute to the quality of life for some of nature's treasures. 100% of your donation will go directly to Tusk Trust, so that means there is no such thing as "too little". Give what makes you comfortable.
If you'd like to know more about the run or my goals in participating, just reach out! And for more information on the awesome programs of Endurance, visit www.endurancecenter.org
Here is to a year of adventure!
