South African civil rights activist, Nelson Mandela once said, "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." According to an organization called, UNICEF, about 32 million girls who should be in lower secondary school are not attending school. Nonetheless, education is a step toward making a difference in the world and should be considered as a right, not a privilege. Poverty along with other factors such as child marriage, early pregnancy, child labor, expenses and distance prevent girls from going to school. In addition, some schools do not meet the standards of safety, availability of clean water and facilities. However, Empowe(h)erment is a step towards raising money to provide for the needs of every girl in Nepal with an education that is a step towards their own success in life.
