Elyssa’s Mission fully funds and implements the evidence-based SOS Signs of Suicide® Prevention Program in schools and community organizations throughout the Chicago Metro area. We are seeking $15,000 to fund ten additional schools for this program. SOS is the only national school-based program shown to reduce suicide attempts by 40%. We assist each school in implementing all facets of the program including planning, training staff, teaching the program to students, and assisting school staff with follow-up. During the 2014-15 school year, we educated almost 19,000 middle and high school students. Our ability to fund this program comes directly from donors like you. One hundred percent of your donation supports suicide prevention in middle and high schools. With your help we can continue to educate our teens and give them the tools they need to live healthy and productive lives. Your gift will help make an immediate impact in educating school communities and saving lives of those who are most at-risk.
