The Enormous Elephant Run: Freestyle
EVENT DATE: Nov 19, 2016
Welcome runners, joggers, walkers and strollers! The Enormous Elephant Run: Freestyle is a 10K Run/Walk/Jog in New York's picturesque Central Park. On Saturday, November 19 at 9:00am people from all walks of life, who want to make a difference for Africa's elephants, will join together in support of the work of the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. We are delighted you have joined our running herd, and are looking to take your support one step further by fundraising either on your own or by building a team. Whether in Central Park, or in your own city, you can be a part of the herd by either joining us in New York City or joining us virtually! Your fundraising and team building efforts will benefit the elephants in the DSWT's care and those living wild. Choose the "Set up Your Fundraiser" button to start fundraising!
At the DSWT, we work to protect Kenya’s wildlife and wild habitats, including elephants and the land where they roam. At the heart of the DSWT’s work is their successful Orphans’ Project with over 200 elephants raised through the nursery, with the end goal for each elephant a return to a wild life. The DSWT’s work encompasses a much broader vision too – one that ensures the sustainable protection of wildlife, habitats and communities for future generations. We can’t bear a future without this iconic species and we’re determined to keep doing all we can to protect wild herds, treat injured elephants and care for orphaned calves. You are helping us protect Africa's elephants by becoming a part of the herd!
Whether registerd to participate or just looking for a way to rally your community to support Africa's elephants, we appreciate your efforts!
