WHO: 100 teens FACEBOOKing to Save One Life (North Korean Refugee)
WHAT: sponsors (like you) + 100 teens = one refugee saved from hiding
WHERE: camp meeting at Andrews University
WHY: to save one refugee = $2,500
HOW: sponsors (like you) will root for them through $ donations (as little as $10) today :D
On July 31, 2012, over 100 Korean-American high schoolers will rise up to massively bombard the Facebook world to spread awareness about the North Korea Crisis. Their hearts will go out to share the devestating stories of the North Koreans and those refugees living in hiding. They will raise their voice to help rescue ONE refugee into a safe life in Seoul, South Korea or the US. Their goal is to reach 6,000 "likes" on facebook through creative awareness videos. We need sponsors LIKE YOU to donate to our cause: $2,500 = One Refugee.
As the Outreach Coordinator for the 2012 ECKCM at Andrews University, I am earnestly praying and eagerly hoping we can work together not only to help the refugees, but also to ENCOURAGE the young people to become advocates for a world in need of help. I hope that through this Facebook Project, these young people will continue to hope for a cause like helping a NK refugee and learn to take action towards making a difference in even just ONE LIFE.
In Matthew 14:16, Jesus fed 5,000 men through a boy's modest lunchsack. Together, you and I can teach the youth that Jesus will work through our small efforts to satisfy this large world in need.
Please help me encourage and root for these high schoolers in their efforts to make a difference in ONE North Korean Refugee's life by donating to our goal of $2,500. Your donation will be sent to Liberty in North Korea, an organization bridging the gap between donors like you to the North Koreans in China hiding.
And any amount of donation will be greatly appreciated, from $10 to $100+. Your donations will be noted, and on Sat. Aug 4th, at the end of a hard worked week, the highschoolers will get to see the list of donors who helped them meet their goal and made it all possible. Since most of you are from Atlanta, I would love to represent our love to the fullest from the South here in Georgia, with much much warmth and support from the older folks like you and me to the young these young teens.
Thank you for your precious gift to the North Korean Refugee who will be saved, AND for rooting for the 100+ highschoolers who need encouragement to be the hands and feet of Christ.
And finally, a very sincere Thank You!! from the Outreach Team of ECKCM.

Raising $2,500 to save one North Korean Refugee. This will provide the means for one NK hiding in China to follow an underground railroad through LiNK and relocate into a new life in Seoul, South Korea or the US. The youth at East Coast Korean Camp Meeting in August 2012 are rallying to spread awareness while raising enough to Just Save One (one at a time, of course ;D). Your donation and contribution will empower the youth to fight for justice around the world.
