Echoing Green Social Investment Council wrote -
Echoing Green has been supporting social entrepreneurs around the world for 26 years. This year, to honor the organization's 26th birthday, a team of runners from Echoing Green's Social Investment Council has committed to running races across the country to raise $26,000 for future Echoing Green Fellows. [From Tough Mudder races to the NYC Marathon, this team of Echoing Green Runners is committed to raising both funds and awareness for the work that Echoing Green does.]
Echoing Green is a non-profit global social venture fund that identifies, invests in and supports emerging social entrepreneurs to unleash next generation talent and solve the world’s biggest problems. Since its founding in 1987, EG has provided more than [500] promising social entrepreneurs working in over forty countries with [$31] million in start-up funding, customized support services, and access to a global network of champions. These social innovators have gone on to launch, and now lead, some of today’s most important social enterprises throughout the world such as Teach for America in the US, City Year globally and SKS Microfinance in India.
This year, to honor the organization's 26th birthday, I will be running 13.1 miles in the 2013 Run to the Beat Half Marathon in London on September 8, 2013 and have committed to raising at least $2,600 to support future Echoing Green Fellows.
Please help us keep providing ongoing support to this incredible community of changemakers by donating on this page and supporting our commitment to each of our races this Fall.
