The Dream Big Project
Organized by: Jennifer Prince
EVENT DATE Sep 28, 2014
At 22 months old, my son, Ryan, was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Ryan’s developmental pediatrician told me that she didn’t know what the future would hold for him, but with intensive early intervention the possibilities were endless. I believe the best way to predict the future is to invent it. I made a commitment from that moment forward to ensure that Ryan received every possible therapy and educational program he could benefit from and to always DREAM BIG. I truly believe that no matter what challenges we face in our lives, all of our dreams can come true if we have the courage and perseverance to see them through.
Ryan is now 3 1/2 years old and attends The Hebrew Academy for Special Children (HASC). Ipads are an integral therapeutic tool used in teaching children with special needs. In an effort to raise funds to buy iPads for all the classrooms, I have decided to run the Bronx 10 Mile Race on September 28th. Please join me in supporting this wonderful school which has helped my son achieve so much, and always DREAM BIG!
