BENEFITING: National Kidney Foundation of Arizona
EVENT DATE: Feb 22, 2019
If you are reading this, then you are definitely near and dear to my heart and I am so grateful for your time, your support and your kindness for this amazing cause and for yours truly! My name is Sheetal Chhaya. I am an original Jersey Girl...in the best way possible! I was raised in South Jersey and grew up in a family of academics, physicians and musicians. I went to the University of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ for Medical School and then completed my Internal Medicine Residency and Chief Residency at Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center. That's where I met my husband Sandeep...(salsa dancer, BTW). We moved to Ohio to join the Cleveland Clinic Foundation for my fellowship in Rheumatology and then we were off to Boston where I was on the Rheumatology faculty at Brigham and Women's Hospital/Harvard Medical School. I had my precious baby girl there and one day, the hubby was moving us to sunny Arizona for work and our next phase of life. A Jersey girl in AZ...hmmmm..... But here we are, 11 years and another baby later. I am an attending in academic Rheumatology at Maricopa Integrated Health Systems, teaching residents and medical students about the amazing field I practice. I am treating patients and educating young doctors about the autoimmune diseases that can be so complex and often involve the most vital organs...and so often, the kidney. That is why I am here. I am going to do my best to support this valuable organization that can provide my patients with the care they so deserve. I am working hard to learn my dance so that I can wow you and show you a performance you can enjoy and remember. All of this cannot be done without your support and every little bit counts so thank you in advance for it all. Remember - my goal is $25,000 and I KNOW you can help me achieve it!!! I am so humbled and so so grateful. See you on February 22nd!!
