Nothing makes these little irish eyes smile quite like drinking a Guinness and half singing Irish rebel songs for St. Paddy. This year I'll be doing that for a cause that is near and dear to me - curing Alzheimer's disease. My mom has Alzheimer's disease. It truly sucks. My loving, silly, compassionate mom began slipping away from me years ago and I couldn't figure out why. We didn't recognize what was happening for a while until her dementia rapidly progressed. She is 70 years old. She has to live in a place where she receives full time care. She is happy, safe and constantly surrounded by friends and family, but unfortunately that is all we can do for her. Nothing more. So let's drink 2 hour open bar's worth of irish whiskey and cure us a freakin disease!
