For the Kids!
I am running a race in February called the Krispy Kreme Challenge. This race starts at the NC State bell tower, goes through Raleigh to the Krispy Kreme where runners eat a dozen doughnuts (or in my case since I'm registered as a team I'll eat the dozen with my boyfriend) and then run back to the NCSU bell tower. It's a five mile round trip run with a big sugar and adrenaline rush! :) This is my third time running the Krispy Kreme Challenge, and it will be the second time my boyfriend and I have raced it together. Last year the race coincided with Valentine's Day weekend and our team name was "Worst Valentine's Idea Ever." This time we're racing under the team name "Doughn't You Forget About Me." (Aren't we cute?) :)
The Krispy Kreme Challenge supports the UNC Children's Hospital, and this year I'm fundraising! UNC Children's Hospital is a top-notch institution in North Carolina. The home clinic consistently makes the list of U.S. News & World Report as one of "America's Best Children's Hospitals."
