Dance Marathon at UCLA
EVENT DATE: Apr 05, 2014
Dance Marathon is UCLA's largest philanthropic tradition, during which dancers pledge to stand on their feet for 26 hours straight in support of children infected with or affected by HIV/AIDS. In 12 years, Dance Marathon has raised $3.5 million dollars for three beneficiaries: The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, UCLA AIDS Institute, and Project Kindle. Last year alone, nearly 3,000 participants raised $475,422.57 for the cause.
The theme for Dance Marathon 2014 is (k)NOW. Knowledge is key in ending this pandemic, and now is the time to take action and fight for an AIDS-free generation. Dance Marathon 2014 will be moving to UCLA’s historic Pauley Pavilion! Join the movement and participate as a dancer, moraler, volunteer, or corporate sponsor! Registration opens 10/23.
