BENEFITING: DAYS FOR GIRLS INTERNATIONAL
More than 40,000 Sudanese refugees have made the Adjumani Settlement Camps in Northern Uganda their home. For many of these refugees, Adjumani is a permanent home. In light of this, sustainable hygiene solutions are even more important than in many other communities around the world. Because many people living in Adjumani also hold strong taboos around menstruation, bringing this issue out into the open can make a huge difference for the health of women and girls. There aren't a lot of opportunities to start a business in Adjumani, so your support can make a tremendous difference in helping women and girls get the support they need.
Specifically your sponsorship creates more freedom for women and girls by making the following possible:
- DfG feminine hygiene Kits for 3,000 women and girls
- Wages for tailors in Uganda to produce DfG Kits
- Travel for DfG Uganda staff to distribute Kits and deliver health education programs
On behalf of women and girls in Adjumani, thank you for all you make possible!
