I run many races where there is a charity involved, but none means more to me than running for our Veterans. I'm a believer in giving back to the men and women who serve and have served in our military. These are the heroes of our nation.
These men and women put their lives on the line everyday so that we may live our lives without fear, with the knowledge that we are secure. The men and women deserve to come home and feel a part of the community and one way of doing that is through organizations like Team RWB.
Team RWB's community-building program is to bring veterans together with civilian citizens in a way that enables them to establish authentic friendships. Team Red, White & Blue is rooted in the belief that the best way to support Veterans is by spending time with them, listening to them, and supporting them in personal and meaningful ways.
In this case, running the Rock the Ridge 50-mile endurance challenge through The Mohonk Preserve in the Shawagunk Mountains of New York.
As this is a fundraiser to help our Veterans and Team RWB, I need your help. We need your donations. As little as $10 or as much as you can afford. Anything is good and will help drive that comunity spirit and support for our Veterans.
Let's do this together! Let's show our support for the men and women who have stood the wall and charge the line. They deserve our gratitude.
