Delano King Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that Bring Life-Changing Care to Orphaned, Disabled, Abandoned, and Vulnerable Children and Families and Foster Caregivers.
Delano King Foundation was founded in 2016 and incorporated as a nonprofit organization in 2017. Founder Delano King was born in Liberia and escaped the extreme poverty, war, and disease that has plagued his home country for decades. Committed to helping his countrymen build a better life-based in faith, he was inspired to create a nonprofit that could help the Liberian people by providing direct assistance guided by the saving love of Christ.
The guiding mission and principals of DKF are to help the men and women who are unwanted, unloved, uncared for, and forgotten. DKF is dedicated to serving the disenfranchised, changing their lives aided by the word of Christ, and helping them understand their God-given potential to lead a better life in God’s path.
Currently, there are approximately half a million orphaned, disabled, and abandoned children in Liberia who lost one or both parents to the Civil War and the deadly Ebola virus. These children are at great risk of exploitation, emotional and physical abuse, trafficking and sexual exploitation, hunger, neglect, and poverty. Numerous children already suffer from post-traumatic stress due to their tragic circumstances. For these children, the chances of having a healthy, adult life are limited.
DKF’s work with orphans, disabled, abandoned and vulnerable children in Liberia is guided by the scripture verse, “Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me. (Matthew 25:40).” We are committed to helping orphans, abandoned, and disabled children have a chance at a better life through direct financial and spiritual support.
Thanks for your financial support!
