Debre Genet Kidus Ammanuel Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church was established in 1996 and it has been providing services to worshippers in Philadelphia and the surrounding areas for 24 years. The goal of the church is to inherit the religion, history, culture, language, traditions, and values of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church to our children born in diaspora. Our church is gradually growing over the years. We were able to move from a rented space and purchase our current church building in June 1999 . With the grace of God on February 27, 2020 we were able to purchase a large property only 3 blocks away from our current location. The new property includes two buildings (a sactuary and administratoin building) and parking lot for over 100 cars. This space is much needed to expand the services we are providing to our parishioners and build on the work we have started to enhance the spiritual life of the next generation.
• The sanctuary is 12,000 square feet with 1,500 seating capacity
• The administration building 12,000 square feet with office space, classrooms and residency for priest and deacons

Our Goal is to raise 150K towards the renovation of the new church.
