On Sunday evening, December 18th, long-time Eastern Lift Truck Co. Parts Dept. employee, Dave Crowthers, suffered a devastating loss. His entire home, and all his belongs, were consumed by fire. Amazingly, Dave, who lives alone, survived, but landed in the ICU, suffering from smoke inhalation. Yesterday, Dave's family, friends and fellow Eastern Lift employees were relieved to learn that he will be released from the hospital. But as we gave thanks for his life being spared, our enthusiasm was quickly dampened by the following news: Dave did not have fire insurance. At age 64 he is facing an incredible uphill challenge to regain a sense of normalcy in his life. Those of us at Eastern Lift, Dave's "work family" since 1987, want him to know that we stand with him and are prepared to help.  We encourage you to stand with us too and offer up your support, no matter how small or large, for Dave.
