In a spilt second life can change. Serving as a Marine in Afghanistan, on what started as a routine patrol, I stepped on an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) and instantaneously lost both legs and half a hand. After twenty-five surgeries and months in the hospital, I discovered Challenged Athletes Foundation’s Operation Rebound, which supports injured military personnel and first responders by providing opportunities to pursue active, athletic lifestyles.
The CAF community advocates for us, pushes us to be the best we can be, and connects us to a world of men, women and children who defy expectations. That's why I am excited to be fundraising to help gather donations for the 1,000 new applicants who asked for a (CAF) grant for the first time. I am grateful to have the opportunity to help expand opportunities for other challenged athletes.
Please join me in supporting CAF’s mission and together we can make a positive impact in the lives of challenged athletes worldwide.
