We are a small non-profit located in Menasha, Wisconsin that serves all of Northeastern Wisconsin by providing clothing to those in need. In fact, last year, we helped over 2,500 families that were facing financial challenges.

The rough economy has hit everyone hard. Not only are our clients going through rough times, but we, too, struggle to pull in financial donations that keep our doors open.

Just like any household going through tough times, we pinch pennies. We have a small staff, we (thankfully) have many great volunteers to help, we use whatever we can, and we re-use whatever we can.

We continue to scrape by because we know our mission is important. Clothing is a basic necessity. It's something so very important during these cold winters. Not only is it important for survival but also for a person's dignity and self-esteem. Imagine yourself running errands in dirty, torn clothing. How would people react to you? What effect would that have on your view of the world? Imagine yourself as a child in school. How would other kids treat you in dirty, torn clothing? How would you concentrate on learning, if you were worried about what other kids were saying about you?

Now, imagine that you're going to an interview. Imagine that you need this job, and the clothes that you're wearing look good. You stand taller. You have confidence.

Now, you're the kid going to school on your first day with new clothes, a new backpack, and school supplies. You fit in. You're ready to learn.

This is what the Community Clothes Closet does. We provide clothes, opportunities for people to improve their selves, and dignity. We want to make our community better, but we can't do it without the help of our whole community. So please consider donating just a few dollars to help us help others.
