Saving the Washington Coast from Marine Debris

www.discovernw.org Tax ID 91-0921955

Marine debris is a hazard to the wildlife that call the Washington coast home.

It is ugly and spoils the wilderness experience for visitors to this special place.

Washington CoastSavers are people actively engaged in saving Washington's Pacific Coast from the harm of marine debris. We organize approximately 1000 volunteers every Earth Day weekend to clean the beaches from Cape Flattery south to Cape Disappointment for the Washington Coast Cleanup.

We need your support to expand our efforts to participate in the International Coastal Cleanup as well as increase our environmental outreach efforts.

The CoastSavers program is organized by a broad spectrum of participating nonprofits, community groups, corporations, and public agencies. The program is steered by an informal committee of representatives from the Clallam Bay-Sekiu Lions Club, Discover Your Northwest, Grass Roots Garbage Gang, Olympic Coast National Marine Sanctuary, Olympic National Park, and the Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission.
