ASSOCIATION OF ASIAN-PACIFIC COMMUNITY HEALTH ORGANIZATIONS wrote -
Health care is a right not a privilege – AAPCHO advocates that all people must have access to affordable quality care, regardless of language, culture, immigration status and ability to pay.
AAPCHO is the only national organization advocating on behalf of medically underserved Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians and other Pacific Islanders (AA&NHOPIs) and the Community Health Centers (CHCs) that serve them. Our member CHCs provide comprehensive health care to over 450,000 patients annually nationwide, the majority of whom are AA&NHOPI, low-income, uninsured, and limited English proficient. Through AAPCHO and its member organizations’ work, we have expanded access to quality health care services through programs that are sensitive to a patient’s culture and language, and through our efforts to guarantee that national policy ensures that vulnerable populations continue to have access to optimal health care.
We attribute our organizational success in large part to the partnerships and support we have received from organizations and especially, individuals like you. While we recognize we are in difficult financial times, we hope you’ll personally consider supporting our work, especially as many CHCs are seeing their own services threatened by severe budget cuts and need organizations like AAPCHO to advocate on their behalf.
We urge you to help us continue our work by contributing to our 25th Anniversary fundraising campaign. Make a tax-deductible donation and help AAPCHO continue our programmatic and advocacy efforts on behalf of AA&NHOPI communities in need.
